If bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest could have babies with Metallica and Megadeth… you would get Fury. All the best bits of thrash, NWOBHM and pure heavy metal moulded in to one awesome live package that has torn up London’s famous 100 Club, the O2 in Birmingham, Slade Rooms Wolverhampton, HRH Ibiza, Hammerfest and now in 2013 Fury are pushing themselves to achieve even more with being part of Damage Stock at Nottingham’s Rock City, Headbangers Balls finale Birmingham and also playing one of the UKs biggest independent metal festivals Bloodstock 2013.
Fury are currently writing material for their first full length album which they will record over the next year and release early in 2014. To keep Fury fresh and exciting they have numerous exciting events booked up through the summer until they complete the recording phase of their first album.
Since 2011 Fury have released 2 EPs and a 7″ vinyl.
The first EP was the self titled 5 track cd going back to what metal was in the beginning, story telling. Subjects covered include epic clashes between Demon Hoards and Vikings to being stuck in Purgatory and how you would survive if the world as we knew it was gone.
In 2012 “Burn the Earth” was released and is a much more aggressive record with heavier riffs and artillery sounding drumming hitting you harder and faster than you thought possible. Again this EP follows themes from the previous EP but with wizards and sorcerers thrown in to the fray! Burn The Earth also show cases Fury’s first slow song which is about Batman.
Fury’s latest release is a 7” vinyl called Warrior’s Prayer and was unleashed earlier this year. The title track is an ode to fallen warriors. Don’t head in to battle without this song!
2013 saw the beginning of a working partnership with Renegade Artist Management. Together they have set goals for 2013 and beyond, some of which have already been achieved, some that are in progress and some so ambitious that they’ll wait till next year.
